Ok, so... What Tanjir bro wrote made sense to me. I was being stupid to
execute the bash file without changing my current directory to the directory
where the "deb" directory existed. So each time I executed it, it tried to
find the "deb" directory in my home directory, I suppose.
This time, I ope
How you did that? Please do enlighten us.

I am not familiar with bash. :( Still, I'll have another look.
By the way, I tried installing each file by clicking on it. First I
installed all those files which installed the first time. Then I deleted
those. There remained those who didn't install in the first time. Some of
them installed the s

And for him its not too freaky to download the Medibuntu packages instead of

Anyone can download the medibuntu packages if they want the media codecs etc
enabled in their Ubuntu/Kubuntu.

I'm in a hurry but I have some idea in mind right now:
1. Masnun can easily avail a temporary net connection from a friend using GP
etc.
2. Downloading and installing Medibuntu would also help him.
What I did in my case while using Kubuntu was I had net connection either in
LAN based or Mobile EDGE

Does Amarok or Dragon player do use GStreamer Plugins? If so, then
unstalling VLC wouldn't help it out.
But interestingly I found that, the Gstreamer Plugins do install the same
codecs as VLC or MPlayer does. But again, if Amarok or Dragon player use

Can you tell me which version of UEC pack you were using?
the first version runs the command gksudo dpkg -i deb/*deb (when clicking
install.sh)
gksudo is for Gnome environment so it may give error in Kubuntu (kde
environment).
Try editing the install.sh with kate and see what's written inside. if
But Masnun, have you downloaded the medibuntu packages instead?
You could have included the error what the install.sh display.
all that shell script does is it extracts the deb packages and maintains the
sequence automatically.
