Btw. as I haven't noticed any advantage from having scrollkeeper running, it is
currently disabled here, by moving /usr/bin/scrollkeeper-update away and
instead creating a dummy symlink instead, with:
ln -s /bin/true /usr/bin/scrollkeeper-update

Hi.
Debugging on glxinfo showed a problem of file r300dri.so missing on the
specified path. So then, I just located the file a copied to the correct
location: cp /usr/lib/dri/r300_dri.so /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/
Now glxinfo shows direct rendering yes. Great! but... if I run glxgears CPU
goes

I would add me grub menu list but I've changed it since then. I
compiled my own kernel and I was still getting the same error so I
removed the quiet option from menu.lst and now it's working fine.

Hmm... If erasing /etc/ntp.conf disables the Synchronize Now button in
time-admin, then the solution I offered in the original bug report seems
appropriate: Supply an /etc/default/ntpdate that sets:

work anymore. rdiff-backup bombs out and throws a longish traceback at
me.

Binary package hint: graphviz-cairo
Basically, trying to install the graphviz-cairo plugin to graphvis using
apt-get results in two shell script files sticking around in
/var/lib/dpkg/info/ that apt-get keeps trying to run, so apt-get can't
install, remove, or update
Well, there were two problems.
One of them was with the gtkmozembed library (from firefox). I don't
know why, but it seems to be broken (the patch, I suppose). Don't know
if this is a firefox problem or a listen one (I imagine a listen one
hehe), but the patch 04_gtkmozembed.patch fixes it
