Can you please confirm the latest release fixes your problem?
http://sd-2986.dedibox.fr/photobatch/download/index.html
Or you can also try it from my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~stani/+archive
Please confirm asap so I can upload this to Debian and Ubuntu. I have
verified that it worked myself.

This bug was fixed in the package python-4suite - 1.0.2-3.1ubuntu1
---
python-4suite (1.0.2-3.1ubuntu1) intrepid; urgency=low
* Merge from Debian unstable, remaining Ubuntu changes:
+ debian/control:
- Build-depends on python-all-dev (= 2.4).
- Update Maintainer
Status update: The bug occurs even when not using USB input devices. But
I have to let my computer be on for an extended period of time (many
hours). In contrast using USB HID-devices seems to effectively trigger
this bug.

Most likely this happened because the ffox plugin finder dialog shipped
section=web for some time.
I guess apturl should at least prevent addition of not existing
sections. not sure if we need any automated cleanup to fix affected
systems.

So Dan/Benjamin, do either of you know what the status of the PS3 kernel

with the powerpc64-smp kernel for 8.04.1) or not?

I feel like an ass. The fix worked for me but then I fiddled with some
settings and now it has stopped working again and so has the fix.
