Modifications and Google Toolbar) and it didn't work. I also disabled
other types of add-ons (languages and plugins) and it didn't work.
I used Synaptic to completely remove firefox, rebooted and
I found gparted to suffer of a extremly slow start with one of my few
remaining fat32 partitions. While scanning for devices, gparted runs
dosfsck -a -v, which, when automatically scans for errors and tries to
repair them. For large fats, this takes a long time and greatly impairs
the ability to

I was able to solve both issues:
The WinTV-PVR USB2 problem was caused by the module option
initusbreset=0 which is no longer supported. This parameter was
recommended for earlier versions to make the device work but must be
removed now.

i have and additional screenshot of the issue.
This occured when i opened gedit and remained until i grabbed the window and
moved it a little. Then it rendered properly.
