The fix from the upstream Pulseaudio ticket had worked for me to get around
this, but with the newest version from the PPA I only get digital outputs

Just happened again. This time I was using Xfce desktop.
As usual, deleting large files separately and then running Empty trash
helped. No crash after removing large files and directories from Trash.

The package I chose for reporting was the one supplying me the
/usr/share/themes/DarkRoom.
Here are the screenshots.
Also, removing shading altogether might not be the best solution, maybe some
other colors will suit better?
