Hey all,
Being that it was from up grade... being that it was an external HDD, I
decided to re-install a-fresh onto an SSD Well, Ubuntu does not seem
to have SSD friendliness (it works but has a lot of error messages at
startup).
So, another re-installation onto a classical rotating HHD
This is the contents of $PATH on my Ubuntu:

The fact that the first two directories are /usr/local/* ditto indicates
that Ubuntu acknowledges the convention to use the prefix /usr/local
when building and installing software

In the maverick version of software-center a new 'share' button was
introduced that links to a gwibber-poster window. This button is
displayed whenever gwibber is installed. This probably works nicely for
people with accounts
Looking at the logs for generate-ppa-htaccess, it currently takes around
2 minutes to run each time.
I checked with mthaddon, and he's hesitant to increase the frequency of
this script until it is faster, but not entirely against it.
I've created bug 628711 and added thoughts on how the script

I have now succeeded to reproduce the problem and identified it as a bug
of Ghostscript. It happens with both Ghostscript 8.71 as shipped with
Maverick and Ghostscript 9.00 (to be released upstream soon). I have
filed the following upstream bug report:
