Specifically, the part about enabling force_glx_sync when nvidia
hardware is detected. Although there is really no reason to not do this
for everyone, it's only a small (possible) performance hit. I initially

This got partially fixed, but not totally - nvidia-current should Depend
on ${xviddriver:Depends}, which will contain the appropriate ABI

Hi terry, thanks for taking the time to file this bug report and help us

I would agree that to cleanly support upgrades from older versions of
Ubuntu, these default files should continue to be sourced and utilized.
