Thank you Axel for pointing to the intel drivers. I installed the latest
drivers and enabled SNA again. It looks as if it takes longer to crash
now, but eventually it does. Prior to the update it was easy for me the
reproduce a crash with LibreOffice Calc. That requires a bit more effort

Hdd's write speed is near 90-100Mb/s:
# dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=10 of=/dev/sdb
Result: 102 MB/s

Suite à l'ajout d'un ppa, je suis passé à une version plus récente de
compiz, cela m'embête royalement, j'ai essayé via synaptic de forcer la
version et ses dépendances, mais rien n'y fait je n'arrive pas à revenir
à la version antérieure. Sauf en risquant de désinstaller Unity. Or

Compiz is indeed running, but it is refusing to manage the window.
Looking at the Compiz code, there are only two ways that it will not
manage a newly created window:
"if (w->priv->serverFrame == event->xcreatewindow.window)"
and
"if (wa.root != event->xcreatewindow.parent)"
Those will prompt
