fix associated with this bug is just a workaround when actually starting
the Unity 8 session. The real issue is in lxc, cgmanager, and/or
apparmor.

unity8-lxc update from PPA fails
I notice the first time dragging the Home button, the Launcher will dim
and only a few icons will remain lit. However, after that, the Launcher
will not dim anymore until the nautilus process is restarted and then
the Launcher will dim again.
I really wonder if this is an issue in Nautilus...

Well, I tried this with a Trusty host and it seems Trusty cannot handle
the Ubuntu Next ISO right now. When I start the container, it does not
get an IP address, so I can't install the upstart-sysv package. I'm
afraid this is going to be broken on Trusty until LXC and/or cgmanager
can be updated

Sorry, I actually don't see this at all when installing/removing with
Software Center directly. My last comment was when installing/removing
from the Dash, but this bug is specifically using Software Center, so
I'd say it's fixed. I'll check with Brandon just to be sure.

remove the linked branch.
We can reopen if we have misunderstand the repro steps.

This seems fixed in 14.04 and newer releases unless I'm not

Yep, after getting educated by andyrock, I can reproduce, so I'll set
this bug back to where it should be.

On 14.04, scrolling over the sound indicator does not close the Dash.
Based on the bug description's expected behavior, I say this is fixed.
Whether or not if the Dash should close when clicking on indicators
should be discussed in a different bug report. Closing Fix Released.

Based on comment #15, I'm going to close this Fix Released since it's no
long unusable. I agree that running Compiz/Unity on llvmpipe is not fun
and miss Unity 2d for these types of systems.
