I went ahead and reverted my Netgear WNDR3300 back to stock firmware and
my connection is now stable. I don't know where to place blame, but I
had to get a stable connection and this seems to be working for me for
now. Even on my N network.

I applied the patched kernel last night to my Dell Studio 1558 and
unfortunately saw the same issue occur again. I'm not sure if there was
something else I needed to do, but at the moment it doesn't seem like
the patched kernel solves the issue in all cases. What information can
I capture to

option for N and switched my router's N settings to mixed BG per the

Looking at the Network Manager code (version 0.7), it appears that the
(none) string originates in the file nm-device-wifi.c . Digging
around, it *seems* like this may be an issue with a failure of some of
the expected IOCTL's in n mode.
