Radiance doesn't exhibit such a distinct behavior because it is already
light. The only noticeable frame should be the terminal which is
already themed dark in /apps/terminal.rc. This is prevalent on Ambiance

propose at least darkening the frame and bottom and edge. See attached

prevalent as the Radiance bug, but looks quite nice with the border-less
updates.

i'm running Natty 11.04 64 bit. I built and installed that latest
Broadcom STA driver version 5.100.82.38. My speed drops approximately
75 % when switching from AC to battery. HP DV6-2170US BCM43225.
Wireless N is also not recognized. I did not notice this issue while
running the open source
Confirmed fix on an HP DV6-2170US. Added Brian Rogers' repo and the
estimating is gone and an actual percentage is displayed. Also, the
erroneous battery indications (red battery icon on a fully charged
battery) have subsided. I'll continue to monitor and report back.

I just rebuilt/packaged cdrkit from svn and the issue seems resolved. I
was able to burn an audio cd with no issues. The manual eject error is
still present, but that is resolved in a kernel update using
2.6.34rc6-lucid.

The lag actually stops when both AppIndicator and Notification Area Icon
are enabled, but leaves that unsightly Notification Area Icon along with
the beautifully sexy AppIndicator icon.

The gconf-defaults should both be set stretch to TRUE for top and
bottom panels.

The artwork-package already landed in Lucid, so there will not be much
@madbiologist, From the screenshot you posted above, the icon set you're
running is ubuntu-mono-dark on a light theme. Therefore, you should try
the ubuntu-mono-light icon set. Things should look a lot better. :)

Ken, the naming seems to have been fixed in b-c-e master. AppIndicator
now used banshee-panel instead of media-player-banshee-panel.
