This may be related to a known Qt issue in LyX 1.6.5 that has subsequently been fixed in LyX 1.6.6 and newer. Error logs from the LyX debug mode would be helpful in resolving the problem. You can launch LyX debug mode by starting LyX from the command line. If you could post any command line
