On 14.04 Trusty amd64, first time testing KRDC KRFB with VNC protocol
on the LAN, the client fails to ask for the connection password and the
connection is immediately closed. Terminal only shows:
$ krdc

Follow-up:
Enabled Allow uninvited connections and no password set, the client
and server still fail identically.
Reversed the direction of the connections and it works.
As the 'server' reports refusing an uninvited connection I'm focusing on
a KRFB issue for now.

The issue here isn't so much the absolute space initially allocated to
the /boot/ LV, it is that the installer allocates 100% of the Volume
Groups space.
The great advantage of LVM is that space can by dynamically allocated
and removed from Logical Volumes as needed.

separate RAID-0 stripe arrays - this is because the controller doesn't
support JBOD pass-through.

The failure is due to grub_probe() returning more than one line when

On 14.04 x86_64 a default QEMU VM fails to start (even before the
install from ISO image stage) with:

QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=none /usr/bin/kvm-spice -name Test -S
The (faulty) path is introduced in debian/patches/debianize-
bootstrapdatabase.py.patch. The path should not be hard-coded it should
be calculated at runtime to accommodate the package-install-time path
translation from /usr/share/pyshared to /usr/lib/pythonX.Y/

On log-in the process:
python3 /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/DriverManager_DBus
spins at 100% for about 60 seconds. During this time the desktop's
application launcher and other panel widgets do not respond.

14.04 amd64, with LUKS encryption of /boot/ as well LVM VGs with key-
files.
The system is configured with GRUB_ENABLE_CRYPTODISK and the /boot/
file-system partition LUKS encrpyted.
After boot it has:
/dev/sda5 /dev/mapper/LUKS_VG /dev/VG/
/dev/mapper/VG-rootfs /

I had this problem as well.
I did the steps mentiond:
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
but It did not help. I noticed when i did sudo apt-get install -f
that I had kernel packages that wasn't needed so I followed the advice on the
screen
From reading the documentation and the source, passwords can only be
applied to PKCS#8 (--pkcs8) and PKCS#12 (--to-p12) encoded files.
