I have NOT been encountering this issue anymore in 15.04 (not properly
refreshing content in unfocused window while scrolling using mouse wheel).
Since 14.04 through 15.04 there are on and off another bug I reported in
the same time span with captioned bug. Which is, when you click resize or
Regular updating. By September 6, 2014, error returns. At the end all
this error reporting does not matter I guess. Just accept one's fate.

Thank you for confirming.
There are two erratic conditions reported in this bug:
1. Unfocused window is not refreshed properly (garbage repeated content)
when scrolled over by a mouse.
2. One window just suddenly minimized to a bare strip or 10 x 50 mm
miniscule window.

I am also experiencing it just recently. Have been using Ubuntu since
9.04. It works fine. With Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.04 first it takes quite
some time for Document View to show up. Most unwanted, is that it won't
print more than 1 pages. Print one page, fine. Print a file with more
than one page,
I am now forced to print second page and other using one by one opening

Yes, me TOO, I am affected. Ubuntu 13.04 upgraded from 12.10. No problem
when I was with 12.10. Now problem with 13.04, standard Unity Desktop.
Icons on desktop have white rectangular forms. It does not look good.
Hopefully it can be rectified with future updates. Thanks.

I updated Ubuntu regularly. Lately I did not encounter those strips and

problem.
I am currently using 32 bit version of ubuntu, unity (3d). With the same

I gave up Ubuntu 64 bit version, as things got worse with the stripes /
scrambles. Most severe hit was FireFox. It happened more often, and more
widespread, practically made the window covered and could not be read.
It was no different, whether Unity 2D or Unity was used.
Hence I reinstalled with

Recent days, the problem is getting worse. Now it occurs more often,
especially in Fire Fox. Now there are sort of illegile letters in those

affected window, rendering the whole window illegible.
Then I found I was not alone:
I did not find similar problem with my computer while using Fedora 17,

Hi,
Sorry I did a lot of testing hoping to localize, but not successful yet.
The bug does still occurs. Randomly, in (identified programs) Firefox,
Thunderbird, Nautilus, GIMP just random purple strips. They can cross a

not this severe. Typically I use Office Libre, GIMP, Fire Fox

The bug can not be reproduced without fail. It occurs though a number of
time a day. Since it happens to different package (GIMP, Fire Fox,

representation of menu window, such as 'Save as' menu window.
