Turned out while testing some of the combinations, I was affected by a
shamefully long time unresolved upstart bug:

Christophe, of course I removed all links from rc* before I wrote my
/etc/init/xebec-proftpd.conf. I know how to stop the process. The
problem is not in starting it (as it starts just fine with either of
your scripts) and stopping it at reboot (as it is killed naturally) or
by kill. The problem
BTW. I have this problem in Precise - not Natty. Wrote here since it was
never marked as fixed.

Ubuntu natty Proftpd start fails at boot
Both of your solutions are wrong. When proftpd starts in daemon mode,
upstart fails for some reason to get PID of the process. I tried both
expect fork and expect daemon - to no help. Yes, proftpd starts just
fine, but you'll fail to stop it. I tried proftpd in no-daemon mode -n
-q - fails to
12.04.1 with all updated.This bug still affects me too!
My setup is the following: 4 LUKS encrypted partitions with mdadm RAID5
on top. The reason I encrypted first and then added them into the array
was based on performance: 4 threads doing encryption/decryption instead
of just 1. The max speed
BTW. My RAID 5 is perfectly healthy and can be assembled after booting
process is finished. crypttab decrypts the devices automatically using
key files.

official Realtek site only provides rtl8192se_linux_2.6.0014.0115.2010.

Battery powered performance is abysmal. Works for about 5 minutes and

David, sorry missed your message to Perico.
Yep! So far so good. Thank you very much! No more IOMMU errors despite
me trying hard to overload the network.
One smaller problem still stands, however. In comparison to my USB WiFi
dongle I had to use in place of this Realtek chip, it has much better
