(bump) C'mon, how difficult can it be to add a new package with the man
pages, or to include them in an already existing package. This BUG is
pretty serious if you are a developer, and it seems to me that Linux has
always been very attractive to developers/programmers, dont forget your
base users.

I think I have the same problem with an SMC wirelss PCMCIA cart using
module atmel_cs.
I test the laptop and the card with the Breezy Live CD, and it worked
fine.
Then I installed Dapper and while the interface is showing in the
network manager, it seems not abble to connect.
I test an USB
They're NTFS volumes, not NFS shares. No difference when they're in /media or
in /mnt.
I'm using Dapper, updated all, from a fresh install.

dapper onto my PATA harddrive and now when i enable the ports again in
the bios it wont boot up ubuntu. Id appreciate some help

Here's something from today's list of 59 updates. None of the packages
in the update seem to have a current changelog on changelogs.ubuntu.com,
but the packages below show the changelogs for the previous version and
older in update-manager only (which are available at
changelogs.ubuntu.com).
I've also just installed the latest fglrx driver update that appeared.
It did nothing for my problems. Still causes an instant hang when I
reboot or shutdown, and still causes a hang if I log out twice.
Uninstalling the fglrx driver and returning to the ati driver removes
the problem.

machines, I did

which created a $HOME/.xinput.d/en_US
So,
rm -rf ~/.xinput.d
Reboot.
This time, kwin works, SCIM XIM works, and everything is OK.

Ok. I think, sometime in my tiring efforts to get scim XIM to work on my
machines, I did
im-switch -s default
which created a $HOME/.xinput.d/en_US
So,
rm -rf ~/.xinput.d
Reboot.
This time, kwin works, SCIM XIM works, and everything is OK.
How come ?
