So I did :

I am also having the problem in 6.06. I can see the firewire PCI card I
installed under the "lspci" command but cannot seem to get my video
camera to work. Using Kino I get a message about problems with my IEEE
1394 device. I don't know if the card works in 5.10 because I just
installed it.

I've got a ripped DVD packaged up in nice cd-friendly chunks, and I use
unrar together with mplayer to play this as a raw stream directly from
the compressed files.
While -3 plays this particular stream perfectly fine, -4 crashes with no
output.

I have a USB devices: mouse, camera, ipod and printer plugged in. The
only device that works is the printer. Everything used to work in
2.6.15-25-k7. Mouse works with PS2 converter but not straight into USB.

I seems I was a little bit confused in my last comment, it should be:
This bug is definitely no duplicate of bug #24999.
The problem described here is that there are 2 printer models listed
under "Detected printers" for HP printers. The solution for this bug
requires changes in gnome-cups-manager
turned on in dapper
