Thanks for fixing this. This was something that was missing in the linux
world, a simple backup solution, but still powerfull and a purge option.
I'm using an iMacG5 Rev A, 17inch.
Incredibibly the LiveCD for Edgy Knot 1 boots, Gnome comes up, and for
the first time ever I also have sound under a linux system.
Unfortunately, the thermal/fan control still isn't enabled (it's a
kernel option!) and my native screen resolution wasn't recognise

I can confirm this as ive been messing with it since early this morning.
I have tried --purge firefox and installing it again. seems to have gone
away for now but this was just done maybe 2 hours ago so its not enough
time to test it to see if fixed. im also gonna try to update FF to
nightly build
scratch the update to nightly build in FF i forgot you cant with a
ubuntu built FF. Maybe an upgrade to thunderbird to match FF?

able to get ElectricSheep working was:
1. apt-get install mplayer
2.open mplayer in my X session manually and leave it running
3. start electricsheep with --mp

well I've copied /usr/share/pythoncentral-date/pyversions.py to /python,
and it seems to work .. I've commented the requested lines too of
course.

This happens to me frequently while using firefox (w/web developer
extension). For a concrete and specific way to recreate...if you use
firefox w/web developer extension, navigate to plone.org. Then click on
the web developer toolbar 'Information' -> 'View JavaScript'. Scroll
This is fixed in Edgy. If you need this in Dapper, please open a bug
requesting a backport. Thank you and apologies that this did not make
it in for Dapper.

I have just written this patch which corrects nautilus' behaviour.
Searches are now started from the _current directory_.

What kind of videos are they, then? Are they Flash? Have you tried
uninstalling the package that is allowing the videos to be displayed?

About 50% of the time, when I try to resume after suspend-to-RAM, I get
a black screen on my primary monitor and an endless stream of
scheduling while atomic xorg/0x0001/4777
on my second monitor.

Oh, and just FYI, I started downloading the release I found at
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/edgy/knot-1/
I assume this is probably what the rest of you have been using, as it says it's
676 MB. I'll be sure to let you know how everything goes once I've
downloaded/burned the ISO.
