As far as I can tell, this fix has not yet gotten into Dapper. Is this
the case? If so, any estimate of when this will happen as the fix got
into Edgy over a month ago. If not, then is there something that is
wrong in my /ec/apt/sources.list? I have the following line which
should get the updat

An easier fix is to temporarily add ", python2.3" (note the comma) to
the "supported-versions" entry in /usr/share/python/debian_defaults:
