Same problem here, encrypted volumes not mapped. I could see cryptsetup
messages briefly flowing by during boot, so it really looks like upstart
calls cryptsetup to map these volumes.

Not for me to say. The situation of /proc/bus/usb vs (/dev/usb/usb +
sysfs + hal) is unclear - the last word from the kernel driver
maintainer was that /proc/bus/usb was not deprecated but everyone else
seems to think it is. Go figure.

tgetpass properly returns if the user actually typed the empty
password and NULL if the user hit ^C, but sudo_conv in auth/pam.c does
not distinguish between these return values. Here is a simple patch to
correct this by returning PAM_CONV_ERR on NULL, causing a quick abort
with an error.

I have uploaded a new unifont to edgy with these changes after testing
them with Vladimer.
What he actually wants, though, is for the gfxboot screen to be fixed,
which would require regenerating its font from the unifont X font.
However, I have no idea how far out of sync they may be, and whether

In that case, stop the installer and run GParted manually by typing:
gparted /dev/hda /dev/hdb which will detect both drives. Partition it
manually with gparted and then try running the installer again. You
won't be able to make partition changes to /dev/hdb, but I believe you

Does the BIOS in the current system support that large of a drive? Grub
