Same problem here; have my /etc/network/interfaces setup properly, but... Link
not ready. If I do iwlist scan; it doesn't support scanning. When I do:
iwconfig eth1 essid myessid, it becomes ready, and was able to connect, but at
the moment, dhclient times out.
When I do: sudo iwconfig eth1 chan
Confirmed. I have the same problem as Chris Irwin.

With some little tweaks suspend and hibernate works fine on Dell Inspiron 8200
with Edgy and binary nvidia driver but the only little annoying thing is that
screen gets always locked after resume.

I have the same problem on the Edgy version of firefox, which is Beta 2.
I'll go to a site with flash on it, such as espn.com, and it will hang
until killed when I'm running the debugger, but will usually just crash
automatically when not running the debugger.

I found that the installer turns the swap off so on systems with little
memory like my 400 MHz grape iMac with 128 Mb RAM the installer freezes
since Linux is unable to uncompress pages from the squashfs fast enough.
I workarounded this by creating my own swap partition which is then
automatically

On a pc, which is not the same one as in bug #64174, when starting up I
do get the kubuntu logo and progress bar, but afterwards I see a funny
screen (coloured lines for about 1 or 2 seconds) and then nothing but a
mouse pointer in the form of an X.

I had the same problem with a macbook on an up-to-date edgy system, but
I haven't had any kernel panic since I appended "noapic acpi=force

I can't reproduce the failure on my zd1211 - with the latest kernel it
comes up and associates fine without requiring an iwlist scan. Can you
provide dmesg output when it's failing? There ought to be a decent
amount of softmac failure output.

that the ATI r128 drivers uses the VGA output instead of the builtin
CRT. I speculate that this is a PC inheritance. The VGA output is well
