Where ever a loading bar should be there isn't one. For example, if I
download something on Firefox, the percentage will show up but not the
blue bar. It also does this when updating the system and anywhere else
you would find a loading bar.

I just had this problem on my freshly installed edgy machine, this did
not happen on my dapper edgy machine:
When closing the laptop lid, the screen blanks and turns off, when
reopening the lid, the screen does not turn on again, and I have to
manually issue vbetool dpms on
think i figured it out. after deactivating the Evolution Integration
plugin, i can now login to my accounts on GAIM in under 20 seconds again
- as opposed to 8+ minutes.

Looks like the memory usage grows only if I pass -fF to xcompmgr. I've
been running xcompmgr -cC -o .2 for three days now, and the memory usage
seems to be constant (X takes 80 megs at the moment).

have it set in update-alternatives --config java to use java 1.5

I have several partitions (up to hda10). When I choose to install in a
different partition (the installer chooses hda3 by default as root) a message

the laptop/battery applet or the logout menu.
Suspend to disk and RAM are both available and functional in Dapper, and
were available in earlier test releases of edgy.

dependencies aren't yet in the archive. Could you tell us the names and
version numbers of some of these packages? A screenshot showing some of
them would suffice. Also, it would be helpful to tell us if sudo apt-

brown splash, even though the preview is with a black background.
