A late Hello... just curious.. has anyone addressed or investigated

to CTRL-ALT-F1 then back to KDE and everything was smooth.

I discovered that if I install ONLY the kdeveop and kdevelop-data
packages, then kdevelop installs properly (I get the menu items) and
seems to work OK.
So it looks like installing _all_ of the kdevelop-* packages was the

After suspend/hibernate the device file that points to the touchpad
(event*) changes its name (event1 - event3 or something like it).
I had to add rules to udev that makes it create a link called
/dev/input/touchpad that points to the right device file.

Just a little more info, I tried to type in most of the output when
booting without the quiet and splash options. It eventually dumps me
into a Busybox shell from the initramfs but I couldn't figure out how to
save any of the output.

I also upgraded my kubuntu box from dapper to edgy a few days ago. I am
using true type fonts for QT, GTK1, GTK2 apps - all worked fine with
dapper. Though, after the upgrade, all fonts in openoffice (menu+text)

The only thing wacom_acpi does is assign resources to the port and

DL380) and after telling it to shut down from the menus, it goes through the
graphical progress and then simple stops at a flashing cursor.
At this point, hitting ctrl-alt-del says it is killing
