On my test machine hibernation and suspend are working fine with Edgy.
But my point was that there are scenarios imaginable and existent where
it would be better to strictly prevent using hibernation/suspend.

We can only present 4 states with the icon, so we do not have a lot of
flexibility.

OK, I'll just add my grain of salt to the xorg bug.
After upgrading, my nvidia drivers wouldn't load (normal, since I'd
installed the beta 9xxx drivers from nzone), so I edited my xorg.conf to
use the nv driver.
On restarting xorg, it didn't (restart). I unfortunately don't have the

I've added the "vga=0" and thins changed a bit. Now the xorg process
stops consuming 100% of the cpu cycles after the resume. However, the
screen doesn't resume properly and now has strange vertical lines. But
now i'm able to switch to tty1 with ctrl-alt-f1 and if i go back to X
diaplay 0 with alt

I can confirm this, happens for me too.
I have the screensaver disabled though, this has been happening since
about 2 days ago after I previewed some of the screensavers.
It pops up after 5 minutes of no use, as there is the value set on the
grayed out box by default.

It is one issue, arising from multiple bugs. The individual bugs are
hard to replicate seperately, but in combination lock up gnome-session
100% of the time on my machine. The issue is the bug interaction. At
least that was my tired reasoning for dropping all 4 bugs into 1 report.

Insertion messages? I'm only talking about g-p-m. It also displays the battery
level of wireless keyboards, if this info is available.
As for the _(...)-ization, yes, the naming problem boils down to it. There are
two different functions that are used to assemble the filename.

Bug tested in gnome-nettool 2.16.0-0ubuntu1 and 2.14.2-0ubuntu1.
Gnome-nettool does not crash, it seems to be frozen for about one minute
and then it shows results correctly. Ping in terminal responds
immediately.
I followed your instructions and I pressed Ctrl-C when gnome-nettool was
frozen:

Just to satisfy my curiosity I logged-in as a different user. The
applet worked fine. So I deleted my .directories and logged back in and
it works fine now. I don't have the motivation to fix this now that
it's gone so I'm rejecting this bug.

I can as well get it in for feisty, but it seems a bit... strange to
have all the other community artwork made this cycle except the one that
was proposed for default. It's not as the upload would change anything
except a few

I realy don't know why root owned this file.
I test a "sudo bash" command, but root do not owned this file with this
command. And it is only command that I use to be root user.
Maybe its a problem when I update 6.06 to 6.10
