Whether this is an actual fix the way the ubuntu developers will do it,

This is still a problem on edgy (at least under xubuntu): it hangs the

I'm trying to use amule in Kunbuntu Edgy, but the application keeps
crashing if any of the results tabs in the 'search' section is closed.
When executed from a console, amule spits the following error messages
after pressing the 'x' from a tab and before closing:

UPDATE: looks like a known bug in ubuntu Dapper's current version of
kpvnc (0.8.2.1). A newer package is available from the kvpnc home web

I too am using Edgy Eft (Ubuntu 6.10) and have installed mplayer plus
the mozilla-mplayer package (versions 2.0.99 and 3.31-1 respectively).
Ubuntu 6.10 is shipped with Firefox 2.
With previous versions of Ubuntu mozilla-mplayer worked fine for me with
Firefox playing videos with mplayer c

I can confirm this - I'm seeing the same behavior. kvpnc crashes the
moment I attempt to load a .pcf file.
I'm using a fully updated version of Dapper on a x86.
