I'm sorry, I have formatted and reinstalled since I filed that bug
report. That is the only FireFox crash I have EVER had but if, in the

First i was a bit annoyed that it did not work out of the box, cos i
already had the same problem with Dapper. However changing the driver
from ati to radeon made it work (even DRI did work) So I finally ask
myself why does the Ubuntu installer not try with radeon too?

The attached patch fixes this, but I'm not sure if it's the correct
argument that gets passed here ($do_lockold) or if it should be

cupsaddsmb is mean to install a PostScript driver (the Adobe/Microsoft
one, with or without a CUPS-specific extension). It explicitely supports
Windows 2000 or higher (optionally with the CUPS extension), or Windows
95/98/ME (no CUPS extension available).

I find mailing list archives near-impossible to read.
I've made my point as clearly as I can: Deleted items causes the Trash
interface to make no sense.
I don't see what reasons can trump that.
It doesn't seem to me like there's much point in me joining the list.

Sorry for the delay, I thought you were actively testing the 6.06 live

Check bug 63989, I think this bug may be a duplicate of that. It
appears that the kernel is using the wrong module for the wireless card,
prism2 instead of orinoco.

In my oponion this feature of gksu should be deleted, because it's no need for:
You clicked on the application so you know yourself that your are starting it.
Also you know that it's an administrative application because you clicked at
something in the administrative menu and you must enter
Same problem in all mentioned software, using ubuntu edgy.

I too believe smbfs should be installed by default.
It allows us to mount a Windows share into the filesystem which makes it
usefull for Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu and for command line usage.
As it offers us better compatibility with Windows and it is pretty small I see
no reasons why not to to
changing the protocol didn't work either...
you might wanna file another bug and attach your xorg.conf file there.
the reporter of this bug seems to have troubles with protocol thingy,
which is something I came across on the forums quite a few times.
