I've just run into this problem. After some reading, and noticing that
I had dom-inspector installed (cf bug #65916), I removed
'extensions.cache' from my profile and restarted. After this, I could
install/upgrade/etc. add-ons again.

I've got to disagree that this is fixed, because it showed up still when

I can confirm the x11-common issue on my HP Pavilion dv6000t. I pulled a
bunch of updated debs using adept, but the update would break as
described above in the bug report. I deleted the x11-common deb from the
cache (/var/cache/apt), ran the update from a command-line with apt-get,
and the remaini

I'm not sure whether this should be filed as a new report or not,
because it seems slightly different. However, Amarok has started locking
up when I launch it again. This time, however, the window opens but
becomes unresponsive nearly immediately. I have tried purging the

We can not stop firefox from crashing due to a poorly written extension
and you are right we cant package all of them. However this one is a
widely used one.

I Freezy Exception to include Listen 0.5 in Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (universe
repositories).
The new 0.5 release has some new features, and a lot of bug fixes.

On 20070217 the "Hardware Information" selection is returned to the
Control Center which it should be. I use it, since I run on several
computers, and change hardware from time to time.
The tab for optionally returning hardware info to the developers is gone
out of system tools. It d
unassigning robert, as he doesnt seem to be working on this.
presumably this is a k-d-s change. There are various packages that
already do this, I think.

As a quick hack, changing components.Interface to Interface in iweb.py
allows zope3 to start (haven't tested functionality) - a similar change
is done in SVN where zope.interface is used throughout.

The vmware-player-kernel-modules-2.6.20-8 package in Feisty doesn't
install correctly on my machine, failing during the configuration stage.
I'm not sure what is supposed to create /boot/System.map-player, but I
