I never meant the mythtv _system_ user, I meant the mythtv _mysql_ us
crash # 3, I had all the updates available, the latest one it said, I

On feisty, I added a keyboard layout applet to the control panel, with a
choice of US English Dvorak and US English (ie qwerty) layouts.
Regardless of which is selected, the panel applet always says "USA",

I don't know why dmesg wouldn't return useful information when run from
a live CD, but it does sound like the prism2_pci driver is loading. I
get the same on my Thinkpad T30:

I also marked all upgrades. It broke Nvidia. I also lost the control
panel. However, these are different bugs. This bug is fixed by
updating python-apt only. Anything else is a new issue. As someone
said to me, "You should expect problems on the bleeding edge."
