I've realized that after running sudo setupcon, the special characters
work fine, I can use ñ,ç,à,ó and so on..
anyway, amsn still doesn't work properly with those chars.

Cannot boot with Feisty kernels 2.6.20-10 and 2.6.20-11 in MacBook Pro
After make distributive from sources (version 0.8.8) on Kubuntu 6.10
(KDE 3.5.5) - all work fine !!! But if install aplication from pakage
for Ubuntu-Kubuntu edgy (downloaded from kvpnc site) - kvpnc did not

Yes I see bad font rendering on the menus and font selection drop down
menus. I have left feisty with its default settings, (nothing has been
changed). I have attached a screen shot to show the font rendering
compared with gedit.
Where I have typed test font in the screen shot the font rendering
Hmm, now Audacity is able to access the device to record, but it has no
device to output to. So I'm able to record, with the Samsom or the
webcam but unable to playback.
Gnome Sound recorder lists nothing as a possible input device, yet it
should since it uses gstreamer. Gstr-properties lists

the mosue buttons quit thismornung and I followed your instructions. here are
the results.
sudo cat /dev/input/mice lines of symbols as the pointer moves , clicking
a button causes the cursor to jump .
opening another terminal and sudo cat /dev/input/mouse0 caused the
buttons to start
OK, this is beyond silly. In debugging this I tried to make the PC beep, just

It would not. I tried crsr-left in bash (usually it beeps), echo -e \\a , tput

None worked, not in xterm, not on VT1.
All of them make the screen flash when run under screen (it has a visual bell
marking unconfirmed, need somebody not to busy to work on it

I agree... this is done like this to let applications calling gksu know
if an error to the process of scaling privileges has happened. We could
change that to a message printed to stderr instead, and make gksu return
the error code returned by the application. What do you think, Michael?

After enabling Restricted Driver Manager for my nVidia card (FX 5200)
Xorg did not start anymore.
Restricted Driver Manager added the BusID option with an invalid PCI id
for this card.

Antialiasing is only supported by tcl/tk 8.5 , which is still in alpha
stage, so there cannot be an official package for it. So here is not
