Support for dell backlights was integrated since hal-0.5.9.rc1, but
ubuntu uses hal-0.5.8.
I tried to recompile 0.5.9.rc1 in my ubuntu, but the current patches (of

call e_book_get_self with no self contact created. Since there isn't any other

Timo, patch 8746 was for current git, this patch would not be correct
(or apply at all) for Edgy. For Edgy I had to use patch 7409 (which
didn't help for git) and I had to adjust the patch a little to apply it
to the Edgy version. I think I applied it by hand in the end, and the
posted patch here
Can't say anything about dapper, as I upgraded to edgy long ago. On
edgy (with fglrx installed and listed in MODULES in /etc/acpi-support),
hibernate is completely hopeless (the hibernation process seems to get
wedged) and sleep only sorta works. If my laptop is not in its dock,

How do you change the directory? That doesn't happen on my desktop with
gedit when clicking on folders from the list

Why can't we get a patch for that? We have many users. Many reported
problems on the forums. I think this would be really nice to see support
for g80 in Feisty with the nv driver.
Currently there is _none_ drivers that works with 8800 in any ubuntu
packages. Both nvidia drivers 9746 and 9755

Hi, if you are still encountering this issue:
Can you check to make sure that you don't have any stray libraries sitting in
/usr/local/lib or stray binaries in /usr/local/bin?
Also can you provide a list of all installed myth packages:
dpkg -l | grep myth

To clarify: I did not experience any error, only the crash report.
Steps to reproduce:
1: Launch Firefox
2: Enter www.youtube.com
3: Start a video
4: Reboot computer while video is playing.
I managed to do the above several times, producing the Crash report.

Running feisty on an intel centrino duo loading the kvm module works
great. I installed fedora from DVD and after the install completes, I
clicked the reboot button and then KVM crashes when it tries to reboot.
