You are correct. Crash was caused by the firekeeper extension.
Removing it corrected the problem. I shouldn't run alpha software on a
beta Linux release.
I was running 2.0.0.2 when I originally reported.
I am now running 2.0.0.3.

Brian Murray helped me work through this... it appears that there were
static configuration lines in /etc/network/interfaces causing a problem.
These lines had configuration options for the wireless networking as
well as configuration for ethernet interfaces not on the computer. Once

I can confirm this, I am using a prism2_usb wifi adapter (with linux-
wlan-ng) which needs static configuration. If I plug it in, it seems
like it connects for a second, then disconnects.
If I stop network-manager, the connection comes up fine.

I had the same crash notification, but amarok kept running, it was
running an automatic collection scan, altough a bit slowly until finally

HP Pavilion dv9297ea with nVidia GeForce Go 7600 running Feisty Beta. I
had previously installed Herd 5 and Xorg determined that driver should

Using yesterday's alternate ISO, the text installer worked OK. I didnt
complete the whole installation process (notably, i didnt install
grub), but it didnt freeze as with the standard beta ISO.

DVD is hdd - that's what Ubuntu assigned it to. Is that a problem?
Not sure what hardware trouble might be as it works perfectly well in
windows and did under Feisty until 2 days ago.
