I have since reformatted and gone back to edgy due to the
tuesday/wednesday updates completely breaking my 32 bit compatibility
with Cedega.
This bug seems to be related to a known issue under edgy where ehci_hd
locks up, and if you either blacklist that mod or fix the irq assignment
issues it see
I got it working. I just changed the line in fstab from sda6 to
/dev/sda7 swapswapdefaults0 0
I don't know why but the damn qtparted shows different partition names.
What is called sda6 in qtparted is labeled sda7 in 'sfdisk'.

Something has broke within Fiesty as of late. Beta installs fine, but
will no longer boot after updated. Once the Ubuntu loading screen
completes, I am greeted with a black screen. Also downloaded newest

don't use the ATI proprietary drivers.
They are way worse than their equivalent xp ones both in features and
performance.

I tried adding something like:
signal.signal(SIGINT, SIG_IGN)
but it seem that this does not fix the case when libapt runs one of its
helpers (e.g. http fetching is a seperate process). The signal still
reaches the child and that dies then (no idea why, the child should
inherit the parenty signal
