Vanilla Firefox 2.0.0.3 doesn't compile on Feisty
One more thing.
I had installed gnome-compiz-manager before.
Could it be in conflict with desktop-effects?
I tried to remove gnome-compiz-manager completely and then I reinstalled
compiz, desktop-effects and metacity (with libraries etc) completely.
No luck.

desktop effects remove top bar
Install package i810switch with apt-get or synaptic
Then, use the command line i810rotate to switch between internal,
external, both, etc... and use command line i810switch to know the
current state.
It still have a bug because the image is jamed on the external diplay,
see bug report #114080
Please close the bug... it was my fault.

I tried five suspend/resume cycles, as well as two hibernate/wake
cycles. I had to resort to a real shutdown (poweroff) and restart
before audio worked again.
I'll keep trying other combinations of things to see if I can narrow the
failure scenario down any.

I can confirm this bug on Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 (amd64 architecture). In
order to solve the problem just run gconf-editor (from the terminal or
using ALT+F2) and change the value of apps/gnome-
btdownload/settings/max_port from 6881 to 6889.

Address already in use error with multiple downloads
Hi satan,
thanks for reporting this bug. Could you give a little more information
to help find what caused the problem. Did this error occur during and
upgrade from edgy to feisty? If so could you please attach the log files
from the failed upgrade. These can be found in /var/log/dist-upgrade.
Packages from gutsy:
emacs-snapshot-gtk_20070302-1_i386.deb
emacs-snapshot-bin-common_20070302-1_i386.deb
emacs-snapshot-common_20070302-1_all.deb
fix the bug. Please backport them (actually make them available - the
dependencies are the same) to feisty.
Also note that apparently there are
I tried that.
What DID work was sudo aptitude install kubuntu-desktop
I had somehow gotten packages to a HIGHER upgrade level then they should've
been at, and this broke deps. Not sure if its a bug or if I manually
installed something without knowing it.
Anyway aptitude downgraded for me.
