I've had 6.06 LTS for over 5 months & had no problems. It's a multi
boot & when I boot to 6.06 screensaver is OK but when I boot to 7.04
screensaver seem slow & after about 8 minutes it locks.

Steps I know about which got me to this point:
1. Set up Feisty Server with gcj on it. There may be other affecting
packages. I have almost every major language package out there installed.
2. Edit /etc/apt/sources.list so all Feisty strings
We might be dealing with two or more unrelated bugs.
Michael, one way to rule out whether it is the xserver or not would be
to boot linux in console mode, without going into X at all, and see if
the behavior still occurs.

Thanks very much for your simple clear answer to this. I am new to Linux
and Ubuntu but want to make the complete switch away from Windows. Been
