OK, so the Ubuntu user experience has a problem. The version of
Firefox installed in Ubuntu lead the user (me) through a series of
steps that we know don't work on Ubuntu, and there was no direction

I found solution for this. The problem was, the device /sdc did not have
partition created on it. So the whole device was cryptsetuped, but there
was no partition on the device.
Making a partiton and the cryptsetup it is the solution. This bug can be

I can confirm this, when removing the USB stick in windows the Led
indicator turns off. In Ubuntu 7.04 the device is unmounted but the led

As to why people are messing with there nvidia drivers at all, here is
how I fell into this:
- boot 7.04 from a live cd
- use restricted manager to install nvidia (thought id try it out first)
- it finishes ok but then says needs to reboot, which I did not do figuring the
changes would go away

Firefox 2.0.0.4 on windows XP SP2. Firefox is working for .com , .nl and
other domains. But not for .net domains, like e-messenger.net or
e-tones.net,
I did some strace with the latest Firefox of feisty and gutsy, and
platform specific files are now looked inside platform/Linux instead of
non conventional platform/linux-gnu which broke some extensions. So this
should be fixed for = feisty

feisty avahi-autoipd fails on fopen()
I have similar but diferent bug.
With driver fglrx or ati and AlwaysRestartServer=true hang.
Someone have the same problem with both drivers??

It looks like the problem was caused by a import error. The IE settings
were imported in Firefox automatically. All proxy settings were imported
correctly except one of the proxy exceptions:
..,localhost, was imported as ..,localho,t,.

other X related crashes in Ubunutu. I switched to OpenSuSE and
experience zero problems similar to this, even using the nVidia
proprietary video driver. Nice distro, just didn't work for my hardware
for whatever reason.

I just reread this bug report. It seems to me there really are two bugs
here. The bug that is reported upstream is definitely not the bug I, and
apparently others, are experiencing. The C test worked, while the Python
version is consistently not working. The LD_LIBRARY_PATH work around
