Just for my curiosity, try this xorg.conf setting in your device
section, assuming you are using linux:

Disables accelerated draws into pixmaps stored in offscreen video

safe way.
All I can do is just take it away from the pc in a non-safe mode...

After restarting the machine, Rhythmbox appears to work fine. The
unpredictability of the crash is a problem itself.

archive manager can not open any .tar or .rpm file
The package is nautilus, those bugs look like duplicates of already
opened bugs though. You are welcome to work any bug and attach patches
to launchpad

I can confirm that too - same behaviour as that of Jan Schmidt (I did not try
the new kernel). My card is a Netgear WG511v1 and does work without any problem
with ubuntu 6.06.1.
With feisty the card does find some open networks but is not able to connect
to any of them.
