My laptop hangs some of the time when the lid is closed and the system
is on battery. Gnome power preference is to suspend when on battery and
the lid is closed. I'm not sure how to diagnose the problem; the
symptoms are that the screen stays black, power light is off, batte

Interestingly, my wife got her ipod automounted when she logged in (the
ipod reported in above screenshot as not possible to mount even manually

For some reason gnome power manager stopped working. Whenever I try to

No installation technique seems to work on Feisty Fawn 7.04
on a 64-bit
Dell Dimension 9200.
I can tell my camera is the first hardware version of the Logitech QuickCam
Fusion because

I mean it FAILS to work,

I also have grinding noises on a LIDE 60, but only when it tries to
crawl back again after the first scan when I have chosen to scan several
pages. If I choose to just scan one page, there is no problem...

The question is, why is there a Broken Pipe error? As an rdiff-backup
developer, I am suspicious that files are being deleted by another cron
script at the same time (perhaps cleaning the /tmp dir?) and that is
breaking rdiff-backup.
