Drawbacks are that glimagesink is messy when moving windows under
compiz. Of course, workaround does not fix other players such as xine
and mplayer. However, thanks for the solution, it makes sense for
gstreamer based players, it could be adopted by default. Gstreamer

is a deeper issue.
The *real* solution proposed is to use gl instead of xv to play videos while
the intel driver is buggy.

It's inside a webgame called travian (maybe u have heard about it). The
problems was when I try to open travian map (it's a php script). After
rebooting firefox problem disappear and everything works fine. I've had
similar problems sometimes with different forums (phpbb). It disappear
sometimes
This package gonna FTBFS on some archs (like sparc and ia64, in debian
too[1]), so we need to find out a fix for this, turning this into a

I experience the same on my Dell Inspiron 700m, very inefficient
multimedia. Changing the output module in VNC got rid of the problem,
but what should be done about Java/Flash? My cpu goes over 170f making
it uncomfortable to use. My laptop never got this hot even when working
