After my recent upgrade to Gutsy X stopped working. Boot works fine until KDM
(where X is started) and there the computer hangs completely. No
ctrl-alt-backspace, no ctrl-alt-f1 or anything. Reboot is the only option.

Okay, probably it's not compiz' fault.
But disabling VSync is not a fix as it makes the computer useless for watching
videos, as written above. VSync should be on per default IMHO, and this issue

Hi all,
I'm having a very similar issue, and have solved it!
I'm posting here in case it helps with the diagnosis for these issues.
I have a brand new laptop, and the wireless card works right out of the box
with the Gutsy Live CD.
However, once installed, it doesn't work.

debian (0.2.1-2), right clicking on images does not provide the context
menu as it is supposed to.

networks and the NFSv4 server is Solaris on one and Debian Etch on the
other.
I don't think this has anything to do with Samba. NFSv3 works.

Hello meisterplanlos,
I never figured out the problem nor got any help on the issue. I've switched
to Debian and it has been working perfectly ever since.
Debian has come a long way since I first tried it in 2001!

that the gnome-mount package is including it in:

I'm getting this issue when playing Frets On Fire (not in wine). I
think this is a bug with Xorg. When playing the game certain keys will
stick down and i won't be able to use any other keys while they are
sticky.
