Do not know if this is a but or Firefox feature. After the zoom is
adjusted (I liked it increased for larger text size), the zoom keeps
reverting back to original even within the same session and when jumping
to another site or tab.

I have found that on two of my computers which require the restricted
nvidia driver for the nvidia NV11 [GeForce2 MX/MX 400] with a fresh
install of ubuntu (this goes for gutsy and hardy), once the nvidia
restricted drivers are installed windows borders are gone unless you

yum and I have not been able to install/ start/ check it

Could you provide a screenshot of the fonts?
Could you be more specific about what you're doing to customize them?
