Created two accounts. (one during installation, and another one on
startup).
I unlocked the add user tool, and then removed admin privileges for both
accounts, still logged into my default account.
I left the root account as it was.

Unfortunately, this did not seem to solve my blank page problem.
Here is the output from running 'gscan2pdf --debug' and doing
(1) Scan one page
(2) Save as pdf with png compression (produced a blank page output)
(3) Save as pdf with no compression (worked)

What's the output of locale?
Upstream only added the en_GB locale, so I guess it won't show with
en_US.

It seems to me that it has something to do with it. My HP nc8430 laptop
is too warm to be held on my lap with Hardy. The fan is constantly on
and quite loud, although not on maximum blast. It seems also that the
processor is oscillating tasks between the cores constantly (even when

Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Sonata Crashed while trying to resume after suspend to RAM. Seems like
MPD has also stopped. Trying to restart MPD went smoothly but still
nothing played when I clicked Play on sonata.

Also here is a picture of the thinkpad T60 keyboard (notice Fn+F4 is suspend).
Fn+F5 is wireless toggle. So it switches bluetooth and wireless on and off.

Okay Vlad, you twisted my arm. I compiled the kernel with the patch and
have installed it... I'm about to reboot. I'll report back here with my

I ran X -configure and the display appeared to be fine. I copied the
