The system monitor apparently does not show all processes.
I had very high cpu utilization (100%) shown on the graph.
But looking at processes, there is no process that show high utilization.
I start >top (another performance tool).
It shows in my case that NetworkManager is using around 90% of CPU
I cannot repeat information as have the laptop. the new laptop has loads of
problems with Hardy.

Search spellchecker.dictionary and change the value of that to en_US.

I saw this bug in Gutsy, and in Hardy (kernel 2.6.24, which was actually
useless for me due to bug #220013). I use KNetworkManager, not nm-
applet, but otherwise was seeing the same thing -- all networks at 100%,
though iwconfig says otherwise.
As per the request on #220013, I've installed linux-
Actually sorry about that, I just noticed that the plugin log was
attached to the bug report...
