Thanks for checking back. Iif I remember correct this was a 64-bit
issue only and I don't have 64-bit installed anymore since I had this

Yes, I tried with the last Ubuntu release and the bug continues, but I'm

Nope, it is somewhat better with the 2.6.26 kernel, I don't see problems
with USB storage (sticks, hardware) anymore, but still have problems
with USB hubs, that can cause the kernel to get into some state where
USB is locked.

FYI: The screenshot attached originally doesn't show the bug because due
to another bug the contexts of the overlay video surface is apparently
not captured in the screenshot.
Anyway, I no longer see the black border around windows that are placed
so that they slightly overlap the video surface
Sorry for the wrong call on the package - I can't claim to be any sort of

I believe this camera was running under Gutsy for me. With my uptodate
Hardy, it fails with this
