What I did just before is to open a terminal and hit backspace. It reset
my session and I ended up at the login screen. I logged back on. Then I
opened Firefox and this site and posted both files. I did nothing in
between.

Oh, that's interesting that it's documented. I didn't see that.
Still, even if it worked properly by not allowing the user to do illegal
things, the documentation for what is and isn't possible should still be there.
So I still prefer to keep this open, and set to confirmed -- thanks.

Gnome bug tracker states the bug as fixed in 2.23.91. I'm using this version
(on Intrepid). Ironically, the very version it should be fixed is the first
time for me the bug appeared at all. I've not read *all* the comments, so I
describe what I observe:
