Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
There are two places in this file, and possibly others in other files
that call "error", I suspect it may be an old function, and not all
code was migrated. I'm not sure what it should be replaced with,
otherwise I would submit a patch.

The machine has locked up solid twice in the last week.
ssh connections freeze and timeout, and the console keyboard does not
respond (no VT switching or any other feedback from keyboard input).
The logs show nothing, no errors. I checked the disk with smart, and it
reports no errors.

this point (hard reboot needed). I read somewhere, that the same issue
affected Sony Vaio notebooks, so I guess that this might be connected.

While trying to gather information to post on here, the problem "went away."
The "fix" that occurred may have been related to accessing my Contacts folder
-prior- to forwarding an email.
Perhaps Evolution had to refresh

I just realized that with the effects on, the screensaver cannot be seen
(the screen starts to become dim and all of au sudden it is bright clear
again) while with no effects, the screensaver runs without a problem.
in my case, screensaver = blank screen

Yes, it is reproducible. I've tested with others, and they've confirmed
it. I'm using hardy, and rhythmbox 0.11.5.
