When I plug in my USB drive it is mounted as /media/disk-X where X is a number.
I wanted to change this so that it asways mounted at /media/passport so I

Using the AMD64 Desktop install CD of Intrepid Alpha 6
There is only one SATA hard drive connected on my sytem, and it contains an
8.04 installation.
grub-install did not write an entry for it into grub's menu.lst file.

Using the 2.6.27 kernel in 8.10 the same problem exists. I used the
Intrepid alpha-6 livecd.

I just ran a test with ubuntu 8.10 alpha 6. Running from the CD-ROM
without installation I get glxgears to produce about 440 fps again.

I can confirm the problem Mahdi has, running Ubuntu Intrepid x86_64
