The nbd bug caused me a ton of grief at a school that I volunteer for. Updating
the chroot fixed the issue. I was surprised that the chroot doesn't already get
updated when the server gets updated. What happens with security fixes?

A100 laptop yesterday and I could get to the gdm screen fine. When I
login I am stuck on the blank (tan) screen.
I got around it by doing this:
1) Exit the blank screen by pressing Alt+Ctrl+Backspace.
2) Hit F10 at gdm

make install returns No such file or directory but if I try to sudo
mkdir seperately it says permission denied. I type sudo make install.
Going into a root shell and doing mkdir ... works. WTF???

response to the last inquiry for information. However, the Intrepid Ibex
8.10 Beta release was most recently announced -

this is still an issue with this

I suspect the problem originates from the fact that the label of your
usb drive contains a space (SARHAY MP3). Can you confirm that the
problem appears only with this specific USB stick?
