I've done a backport of tc1100-wmi.c from 2.6.27 to 2.6.24. As Carlos
Corbacho suggested, I've exploited the acer-wmi.c to remap the wmi
functions of tc1100-wmi.c. I've tested on my hardware and works. I'll
publish the source and a precompiled module on my ppa as soon as
possible.

And again, you may want to check your mouse sensitivity setting. In
firefox, when you right-click a link and hold down the button, then
select an action and release the button, it will act as though you had
clicked that action. It could just be that when you right click you move
the mouse a little

just tried to suspend again with the powermanager when
/sys/power/pm_trace = 1
upon resume the screen started to flickered with colors for about 5
seconds and then X restarted and I was presented with KDM logon prompt.

I'm leaning towards these keyboards being rather finicky. I've got an
aluminum bt keyboard. When I try to pair, look at this bluetoothd

Deleting the printer and then recreating as above worked. Not sure why
it failed to assign the correct driver during the upgrade...

could this be related to legacy usb devices being attached?
nick and michael, could you try removing any usb keyboard or mice you might
have, until the login screen?
also michael's comment about using the keyboard during the grub

The same happened to me. I just locked the screen (Ctrl+Alt+L) and then I
wasn't able to enter my session. gnome-screensaver didn't show me the lock
screen whit password field.
When I click with the mouse, the screensaver disappears and the mouse appears
above the black screen for about one

Actually it is an issue if you don't do something to fix it yourself,
it's due to de nVidia drivers, in the repos you find and old version
that causes this problem. If you install the newer version of the driver
it works like a charm.
Other simptoms of outdated drivers are:
- No ubuntu/Kubuntu
Same with Knoppix 5.3 (didn't test current 5.3.1)
