I just tested for this bug with Intrepid Beta on the system with the
DQ965COEKR motherboard and it is no longer an issue. The system is able
to Hibernate and resume successfully and the eth0 interface is up upon
resuming. I'm marking this bug Fix Released for Intrepid. Against

bug #275227, we linked to other upstream bugs, to a patch, and we decided to
include the fix in the kernel tree. I also prepared a package with this fix in

Incidentally I noticed similar hangs in previous kernels, in the
2.6.27-X range. I booted without usplash (which didn't work at that
time) and thus saw the kernel messages, which also stopped around
iwl3945 messages.

I just tried out the 8.10 Beta CD (i386 Desktop).
On all systems I tried I can not close the CD drive by pressing the close
button on the drive after I shut down the live session and the CD ejected. This

Happens to me too, but I don't need a hyphen (-) in the network name -
happens with any name I come up with. The tooltip also says it's joining
the (null) network.
I'm on fully updated Hardy, trying to create an ad-hoc network for my
iPhone to connect to.
