After installing the distribution upgrade resuming from suspend and
hibernate works perfectly. Network manager refused to come back after
suspending at first, but this may be tangential because it was also
broken in all sorts of other ways and seems to have fixed itself. Thank

I still have a problem with networkmanager and 8.10. That is for the
wireless when I resume or even reboot it asks for the WEP password
several times. Does anyone know a method to fix this? But at least now I
can connect to the wireless after sleeping...

I have a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile V6535 and had this problem

Yes,now it is not a problem any more.sorry for not having updated the issue.
I tried the fresh Ubuntu edition and the mouse which didn't work well in
Hardy is now running well under 8.10.I guess it is the old driver's problem
and it has been fixed in the new kernel.

Sure. My laptop broke down a while a go so I'm afraid I can't say any
more about it! My new laptop (a Samsung R41 Madea) works out of the box.
Maybe the other reporters can give feedback.

I have problems with the VIM refresh. With "big" files (more than 100
lines) VIM can't refresh the content correctly and the lines are cut and
all content it's crazy until I run control + L. Would be a buffer
problem?

I frequently use the embedded terminal emulator in konqueror. But now (that I
upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10) typing "o" moves the keyboard focus to the address
bar. This renders the terminal almost useless. All other keys work fine.

Sorry I missed your earlier comment. Please open a new bug against
cdrom-detect. Put `set -x` at the top of
/var/lib/dpkg/info/cdrom-detect.postinst before that code runs and attach
/var/log/syslog after the machine starts to hang.

Since this bug is not found in the latest version of Abiword, I am
marking it fix released. It was reported against Abiword 2.6.4-4ubuntu3,
which is replaced by Abiword 2.6.4-4ubuntu4.
Abiword does have a menu 'Collaborate' for which no help appears
available in the Help text. I reported this as B
